New Production Updates With Pictures!

Hello Everyone,
I hope this message finds you healthy and doing well during these troubling times.
I just received pictures of the production update from the manufacturing representative about 20 minutes ago and wanted to post an update ASAP, as I’m trying to improve upon past inadequacies with Kickstarter updates and protocols and learn from my mistakes.
The box design is now finished and here’s what the sample production run looks like. The front of the tuck box will have a clear window like the last Kickstarter.
I had a small bit of extra funds leftover, so I have increased the number of minis promised in each set. The Gingerbead Gang now has seven members, instead of six, and the Snow Goonz set has eight miniatures instead of six.
Lastly, I have been working on a YouTube channel for crafting terrain and talking about tabletop games, and I would love for you to check it out.

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy at home if possible during this pandemic.
Here is a picture I was recently sent by the manufacturing representative of the first run of the mini from the master mold.
In this update, I’ve also included a really rough draft of the box design I printed out today.
I am surprised at how fast this project is moving along, and from what I’ve been told gaming items are currently being shipped out of Hong Kong :)

Hello,
I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.
Here is a picture sent to me by the representative of the company I work with in China to manufacture the line of tabletop gaming minis we have built together on Kickstarter over the years :)
These are the master 3D prints of the War in Christmas Village Gingerbread Gang set. After the prints are inspected to make sure everything is as designed, the prints are then cast into a master mold.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic it appears as if some sectors of manufacturing in China are carrying on smoothly.
Please stay healthy and safe in these concerning times.
Thank you :)

Gingerbread Gang Update & What Not

Hello everyone.
The deposit has been transferred, and the very beginning stages of manufacturing have begun. Apparently, the manufacturers have special licenses From the Chinese government to stay open for business. The employees must wear masks and they wipe down the facilities with a special cleaning solution every day, per regulations.
The Gingerbread Gang digital files will be 3D printed and then cast into a metal mold. The manufacturers will also be making a copper mold for the plastic insert, and then creating a sample copy of everything for approval. This process takes about 70 (ish) days. Once everything is approved then mass production begins.
Meanwhile, I’ll get to designing the boxes for the minis :)

Hello everyone. I hope this post finds you healthy and in good spirits.
Sadly, here is the first update with potential project delays. By now I’m sure you have heard of the coronavirus adversely effecting the population of China.
The recent coronavirus is believed to have originated in the city of Wuhan. It is also called “Wuhan Pneumonia” in China, and it is similar to the SARS outbreak, but the coronavirus appears to be more deadly than SARS.
Wuhan is in the Hubie province of China, and the city itself has a population of over 11 million people. Wuhan, and many others in China, have essentially been shut down as residents are being told to stay indoors to wait out the potential pandemic. Two new hospitals specializing in the treatment of the coronavirus have been constructed in Wuhan in less than 10 days. Each hospital has a capacity to hold 1,000 patients. That’s an amazing feat!
The city where I have all of our miniatures manufactured is located in the Guandong province, a province near Wubei. The virus has reached other cities, including the one where our items get made.
From my understanding the Chinese government has made wearing masks mandatory in a lot of populated areas, as well as, requesting residents to remain indoors. Starbucks, Apple, and many other larger companies have ceased ceased operations for the time being having shut down stores and factories due to the outbreak. Many foreigners working in mainland China have left the country all together, and Hong Kong nurses have been requesting the border be shut down to mainland China to deter the spread of the virus.
This outbreak happened at a time when many Chinese people were traveling to rural parts of the country to visit family, as this is the time of year for the biggest of the Chinese holidays, Chinese New Year and Spring Festival. The holiday season was even extended by their government because of the viral outbreak and the problems it has caused.
I have reached out to my representatives, and they are in good health, albeit, they are stuck at home. I have no idea how this will adversely effect the manufacturing process or what sort of major delays this may cause for the Gingerbread Gang Kickstarter. Right now I am just thankful the folks I work with are in good health, and I’m not going to ask them about any potential project delays, because that simply feels odd to me. I am happy to hear everyone I have contacted is well :)
I have heard talk, in some online forums, that this outbreak may cause manufacturing delays of upwards of 3 months. I hope this is untrue, as I would like to avoid another series of fulfillment snafus.
Thank you, have a good one, and I hope to post future updates twice a month.
